This retrospective exhibition features photographs from four major themes that are part of Bolin’s oeuvre. These have been covered by the artist for the last ten years. The themes deal with politics and censorship, tradition and Chinese culture, consumer society and freedom of the press. Post his first series "Hiding in the City" in 2005, the artist has created artworks combining photography, body art, optical art and living sculpture. He has posed for hours in front of a wall, a landscape, or a monument and blended with his surrounding environment. Bolin goes invisible to get noticed and has earned the nickname of the invisible man.
