Jin Youming 金酉鸣 (born in Hangzhou in 1981) is a freelance photographer, curator, and co-founder of DESE Space & Fototime (得色影汇). He has been working to integrate and expand contemporary photography and art, while reflecting on the relationship between man, society and environment. His series Transient Sites (临时风景) questions the notion of impermanence by recording temporary sites in Chinese metropolises. For Jin: “Construction and dismantling, rise and fall are repeated every day like a TV series. Like the monuments created and destroyed by human beings, those sites appeared because of prosperity and soon became obsolete.”
