Qian Haifeng (born in China in 1968) started photography in 1995 while he was working as an electrician at the Wuxi Grand Hotel. For over seven years, on weekends and in his time off, Haifeng has taken over 150,000 photographs while riding the national train system. His series The Green Train documents families with babies, sleeping workers, solitary teenagers, and travelers who temporarily set up camp and makeshift living rooms as they travel throughout China.
You can discover his photographs alongside the works of Isabel Muñoz, Andrea Santolaya, Jake Versos, Anna Malagrida, Eric Pickersgill, Joshua Benoliel, Meyer, Karlheinz Weinberger, Mark Neville and Madeleine de Sinéty during the Mérignac Photographic Festival. Curated by François Cheval, this festival near Bordeaux in Southern France aims at "shedding light on things that bind us together despite our differences."
