The photographer François Trézin (born in 1982 in Valréas, France) has been living in Shanghai since 2007. Between photography and installation, his works tend to focus on the genre of still life while challenging its function and aesthetic. Throughout his various series Trézin explores the peculiar relationships between the object and its surrounding, the object and the photographer, such as in Hubei shown above. Such compositions are often ingrained within a particular context and enable him to re-interpret his environment by turning lost and found items into ephemeral and fragile installations.
