I hope to explore the mechanical and emotional responses of urban youth when facing nature and landscape, from the perspective of a younger generation. I use images to show each grass, tree, mountain and water in the natural scenery. The elements of nature present a quiet charm in my photo. Trees are a timeless subject in photography, not only for their variety and different forms, but also because they are a symbol of "constancy" in natural scenes.
I work mainly in black and white, using pure color language to outline the true appearance of the natural landscape. I try to capture, scan, translate and edit the landscapes I see intuitively and concisely, whether in my hometown forest or in foreign lands, with a perceptive heart. In this process, the real landscape becomes a projection of my heart. Re-creation and non-interference, the two contradictory yet coherent expressions, are presented in the works, like “shan shui" and "yin yang", opposing yet coexisting. In addition to my affection for nature, I strive to express the reverence for nature and the "sublimity" it brings. Through my photographs, I hope to draw viewers' attention to the different landscapes that exist in the familiar scenes around us and the collision between the urbanized landscape and the natural landscape in my mind.
