Venue: School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS), 54 boulevard Raspail, room AS1_23, Paris (France) The School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences invited Marianne Bastid-Bruguière (Emeritus Research Professor at CNRS, Centre d’études sur la Chine moderne et contemporaine), and Photography of China’s founder Marine Cabos-Brullé to discuss Solange Brand's photographic archives of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (1966-76). Launched by Mao Zedong, this decade underwent massive political upheaval and encouraged a return to revolutionary attitudes. $November 1966, Demonstration.
